ATFC105D Peltier controller

ATFC105D is a kind of Peltier controller, which is designed for driving and monitoring TEC/Fan assemblies. The high output power for TEC of ATFC105D Peltier controller is 12V20A and it has high efficiency, more than 98%. Because of compact size and no heat sink required, it is very convenient to use this Peltier controller. The following is the physical photo of ATFC105D Peltier controller.

By using a TEC array and a fan array, ATFC105D Peltier controller is utilized to control the heat sink hot side temperature, heat sink cold side temperature, the chamber temperature, etc. What’s more, there is a protection circuit inside. If the temperature exceeds the safe value, it will cut off an AC power switch. From the picture, you’ll find the user interface is very easy to setup and use.

New NTC Thermistor ATH10KR8B

NTC thermistor ATH10KR8B is a replacement thermistor for ATH10KR8, which has stopped production. ATH10KR8B has wide applications, such as temperature sensing, measuring and controlling for laser diodes, optical components and other temperature control systems.
Like ATH10KR8, ATH10KR8B also has three versions, one sealed and two non-sealed. The sealed version is ATH10KR8BT65S, which means the thermistor leads are covered with plastic tubing and get sealed between the thermistor head and tubing. The sealed thermistor is liquid resistant. The non-sealed versions is ATH10KR8B and ATH10KR8BT65. The former has bare leads, while the latter comes with the leads covered with plastic tubing, but non-sealed. All these versions of NTC thermistor series are encapsulated with glass, which performs higher and longer stability and reliability, compared with epoxy encapsulated thermistor. These NTC thermistors can work well under up to 140°C temperature.
Nominal resistance at 25°C is 10K ± 1%. B value @ 25°C /85°C is 3478K± 1%. The lead length is a little shorter than ATH10KR8, 65± 3mm. The size is compact, φ0.8mm×1.4mm. The resistance accuracy is 1%. For more detailed data, please refer to the website.

Most convenient inductor kits

Inductor kits were developed by Analog Technologies (ATI) in 1997. Inductor kits are our US-patented products, as shown in Figure 1. Inductor kits are very popular among electronic designers because of having compact size, carrying easily and searching elementconveniently.

There are 128 individually lidded compartments (0.87” (L) * 0.59” (W) * 0.63’’ (D)) with inductor valuesprinted on the lid of each enclosure. As the lid of each small enclosure inside is very tight, it can ensure that internal chip inductors will not leak or loss.What’s more, they can be easily put on a workbench, stored on a shelf, or transported to another site, making them the best choice for building prototypes or reworking printed circuit boards.

12V20A digital Peltier/fan controller

ATFC107D is the part number of12V20A digital Peltier controller. ATFC107D Peltier controller is designed to drive and monitor the working status of a thermoelectric cooler (TEC) assembly and a fan assembly. This Peltier controller comes with a digital display for parameter setting and monitoring. It also has compact size and high efficiency (more than 98%). Through USB port, Peltier controller can be connected to PC. Figure 1 is the photo of an actual ATFC107D Peltier controller.

The working parameters of a TEC/fan assembly are shown on the display of ATFC107D Peltier controller and these parameters can be sent to PC by using the USB port. This Peltier controller provides a soft-start and soft-cut function to drive TEC, so the service life time of TEC will be longer. What’s more, it allows users to set the temperature parameters and monitor the temperature value.

Miniature NTC Thermistor ATH1R38M0.1%200CL5R3

NTC thermistor is a negative temperature coefficient thermistor that is used to measure, monitor or control temperature in temperature system.  ATH1R38M0.1%200CL5R3 is a thermistor assembly, which is encapsulated by glass and packaged in an extra compact ring lug. Glass encapsulated is for long term stability and reliability, while compact ring lug is for easy fixing on the target device.
The ATH1R38M0.1%200CL5R3 series thermistor can be applied for measuring the temperatures of laser diodes, optical components, etc.
This series NTC thermistor assembly series include three versions: ATH1R38M0.1%200CL5R3, ATH1R38M0.1%200CL5R3T70 and ATH1R38M0.1%200CL5R3T70S. The difference among them lies in the thermistor leads. ATH1R38M0.1%200CL5R3 comes with bare leads coated with copper; ATH1R38M0.1%200CL5R3T70 comes with leads covered by high temperature plastic tubing, non-sealed, while ATH1R38M0.1%200CL5R3T70S is the sealed version with leads covered. 
This NTC thermistor has high resistance accuracy, about 0.1%. The temperature error is ±0.2°C. The maximum temperature range is from 0°C to 340°C. Nominal resistance at 25°C is 1388.1K ± 0.1%. B value at 200°C /300°C is 5133K ± 0.1%.

Negative Temperature Coefficient Thermistor (III)

For NTC thermistor, the most important property is its service life. Long life NTC thermistor is an improvement of the recognition of NTC thermistor, which stresses the importance of service life. Long service life refers that it can work well after experiencing tests of high accuracy, high sensitivity, high reliability, ultra high temperature, and high pressure.
Service life is a vital aspect of a good NTC thermistor, which has a dialectical relationship with other parameter such as accuracy and sensitivity. For a NTC thermistor, it should have a long service life at first, and other properties come then. It’s possible when the technical process reaches a certain level.
Many high-tech electronic products need thermistors to measure and control temperature stably under ultra-high temperature and pressure. Many manufacturers blindly pursue high accuracy and sensitivity of NTC thermistor, but ignore the service life. This leads to a short service life of NTC thermistor, which makes high accuracy, sensitivity and high temperature resistance meaningless.

Negative Temperature Coefficient Thermistor (II)

For NTC thermistor, when temperature rises, the resistance decreases exponentially. Mix, mold and sinter two or more metal oxides, manganese, copper, silicon, cobalt, iron, nickel and zinc to produce NTC thermistor. The resistivity and material constants vary with the composition ratio, the sintering temperature, the sintering temperature and the structural state. Now, there are some non-oxide NTC thermistor, such as silicon carbide, stannic selenide, and tantalum nitride.
NTC thermal semi conductive ceramic has mainly spinel structure or oxide ceramic of other structure, which has negative temperature coefficient. The ceramic crystal changes its resistance with the temperature change. This is decided by the property of semiconductor.
The measuring range of NTC thermistor is -10~+300°C, -200~+10°C, or even +300~+1200°C for some special type NTC thermistor. The accuracy of NTC thermistor can be 0.1°C and the temperature sensing time can be up to 10s or less. It can be used as thermometric indicator in the granary, or temperature sensor in food storage, medical science, scientific farming, ocean, deep well, upper air, and glacier, etc.
