NTC Thermistors ATH10KL2C Series

In the previous two articles, NTC thermistor series ATH10KBL2A and ATH10KL2B have been introduced already. In this article, we will focus on ATH10KL2C series NTC thermistors. This NTC thermistor is also packaged in a small ring lug for easy mounting. Inside the ring lug, there is a thermistor head, ATH10K1R25, which is also in ATH10KL2B NTC thermistors. Therefore, the three thermistors have the same characteristics.
The length of the ring lug of ATH10KL2C series thermistors is 11.2mm, and the width is 5.5mm. The length of the lead wires of this series NTC thermistors is 70mm. Therefore, the three versions come with the part numbers, ATH10KL2C, ATH10KL2CT70 and ATH10KL2CT70S. 70 refers to the length. As mentioned in the last two articles, ATH10KL2CT70 and ATH10KL2CT70S have plastic tubing covered with the lead wires and the latter is the sealed version.

NTC Thermistors Series ATH10KL2B

ATH10KL2B series NTC thermistor is a thermistor assembly with a ring lug outside a glass encapsulated thermistor head. This series NTC thermistors have three versions, namely, ATH10KL2B, ATH10KL2BT70 and ATH10KL2BT70S. The first one is the basic version. The latter two versions are the upgraded ones. ATH10KL2BT70 comes with two lead wires with plastic tubing, and ATH10KL2BT70S has it sealed between the plastic tubing and the thermistor head. Sealed thermistors can be used in applications with liquid.
ATH10KL2B series NTC thermistors are different from ATH10KBL2A and ATH10KL2C. The sizes of the ring lugs are different. Moreover, the thermistor head of ATH10KBL2A is ATH10KR8B, while the thermistor heads of ATH10KL2B and ATH10KL2C are ATH10K1R25. Therefore, the resistance temperature characteristics of ATH10KL2B and ATH10KL2C are the same. Users can choose proper ones from them based on the applications.

ATH10KBL2A Series NTC Thermistors

This thermistor ATH10KBL2A is a replacement for ATH10KL2A. ATH10KBL2A series NTC thermistors consist of three versions, ATH10KBL2A, ATH10KBL2AT65 and ATH10KBL2AT65S. The latter two thermistors are based on ATH10KBL2A, with more features. ATH10KBL2A has two bare copper coated lead wires, and ATH10KBL2AT65 has the two lead wires covered with high temperature plastic tubing, and the ATH10KBL2AT65S is the sealed version of ATH10KBL2AT65. Sealedthermistors can be used in non-corrosive liquid for temperature measurement.
ATH10KBL2A series NTC thermistors are glass encapsulated thermsitors packaged in an extra small ring lug, which is convenient for mounting and fixing. The length of the ring lug is 8.1mm, and the width is 3.6mm. The length of the lead wire is 65mm. These NTC thermistors come with long term stability and reliability. The resistance accuracy is 1%. As indicated in the part number, ATH10KBL2A, the nominal resistance at 25°C is 10k.

ATE1-241 TEC Module Series

As the part number indicates, ATE1-241 series TEC modules come with 241 pairs of Peltier elements. Peltier elements are the basic components of TEC module, which is also called Peltier module or thermo electronic cooler. TEC modules are designed for temperature regulation on target objects.
The maximum input voltage of this series TEC modules is 28.9V, with different power ratings and dimensions. The maximum temperature difference is 68°C, which can be achieved by single stage TEC module. If a higher temperature difference is needed, then two or more stages TEC modules should be utilized. All the TEC modules in this series are sealed version, which can prevent moisture from entering into the Peltier elements. Therefore, if the TEC modules are used in moisture temperature, the sealed version is highly recommended.

ATE1-31 TEC Module Series

TEC module is short for thermoelectric modules, and also called Peltier cooler. The reason why it's called Peltier cooler is that it has multiple Peltier elements inside the TEC module, which are the main components in the TEC module. TEC modules can be used to regulate the temperature of an object and stabilize the temperature in a certain temperature range. As indicated in the part number, ATE1-31 series TEC modules have 31 pairs of Peltier elements inside the TEC module, and it is a single stage TEC module.
There are two flat ceramic plates on both side of the TEC module outside the Peltier elements. There are mainly three methods to install TEC modules, i.e., bonding with epoxy, clamping and soldering. Soldering is the most efficient way to use the TEC modules, but it's not convenient for maintenance. Clamping and bonding with epoxy are relatively simple and easy for most users by using thermal conductive pad or thermal paste.

Evaluation Board TECEV104 for TECA1XVXVD

TECEV104 TEC controller evaluation board is a replacement for the evaluation board TECEV103, which is not recommended for new design. TECEV104 evaluation board is applied to evaluate TECA1-5V-5V-D TEC controller, which can drive TEC modules with up to 2A current efficiently. Since no compensation network is integrated in the TECA1-5V-5V-D TEC controller, this evaluation board is used for tuning the TEC controller's external compensation network in order to match the characteristics of users’ thermal load.
The main functions of this TEC controller evaluation board is to set maximum output voltage and set-point temperature, monitor output voltage and actual thermal load temperature, and tune the compensation network so as to match thermal load. There are LEDs that display the TEC controller's temperature status. Moreover, there are some connection pads for connecting with external components or devices.
This TEC controller evaluation board can only evaluate TEC controller of DIP package.

Most Convenient SMT Inductor Kits

These three kits are all based on a special container, SMT component enclosure. This enclosure is empty, with 128 individually lidded coverlets and one top cover. Most Convenient SMT Resistor Kits

SMT Resistor Kit made in ATI is the most convenient resistor kit in the world. This resistor kit is based on a SMT Component Enclosure, which comes with 128 individually lidded coverlets and one top cover. There is a foam pad inside the top cover, which keeps all the coverlets closed when the top cover is closed. The resistor kit is not large, just like the size of a teaching book or A4 paper.
There are multiple types of resistors with different resistance values, quantities, and sizes. For example, the size can be 0402, 0603, 0805 and 1206; the resistance values can be from 128 values and 510 values, and the former is in one resistor kits and the latter need a set of four resistor kits to contain. The quantity of each value can be 50pcs, 100pcs, 200pcs and 500pcs. The component value is printed on each lid. Take one part number as an example, R08E24-200, "R" refers to resistor kit, "08" is 0805 size, "E24" is 128 values, and "200" means there are 200pcs for each resistance value.

ATE1-161 TEC Module Series

ATE1-161 series TEC modules are standard TEC modules with 161 pairs of Peltier elements. Peltier elements are the basic components of TEC modules. The TEC modules are widely used in solid state laser, refrigerator, air conditioner, optical components, CPU of computers, etc.
The maximum input voltage of ATE1-161 series TEC modules is 19.3V. The maximum temperature difference between the two ceramic plates is 67°C. There are three TEC modules in this series with the maximum current of 4A, 5A and 6A respectively, which can meet different application requirements. All of the TEC modules in this series are sealed.
Please note this TEC modules series cannot bear thermal cycling applications, which may largely reduce the operational life of TEC modules. ATI provides thermal cycling TEC modules, the service life will be maintained to be long when the TEC modules shift from heating to cooling, and vice versa. These thermal cycling TEC modules cost more than standard ones.

ATE1-TC-71 TEC Module

TEC module is short for Peltier Cooler Module, which can heat up or cool down the target object by inserting currents of different directions. For standard TEC modules, when they shifts from heating to cooling or cooling to heating, the modules are exposed to large physical stresses, which will largely reduce the operational life of TECs.
ATE1-TC-71 TEC module is designed for temperature cycling applications. When this TEC module suffers thermal cycling, the service life will not be reduced, and is longer than standard TEC modules. There are two products in this TEC module series, ATE1-TC-71-5R5AS and ATE1-TC-71-7R8AS. The maximum input voltage is 9V, and the temperature difference of the former is 74.5°C, and the latter is 72.5°C. Both of the two TEC modules are sealed version, which refers to the sealing between the edges of the two ceramic plates of the TEC modules.

Evaluation Board for ATLSXA103 Laser Diode Driver

ATLSXA103 series laser drivers come with ultra low noise and compact size. Evaluation Board for ATLS202D Laser Diode Driver

The ATLSXA202D series laser diode drivers are designed to driver diode lasers with low noise constant current at high efficiency. The laser drivers come with compact size, high reliability, and constant current.
The evaluation board are designed and used to evaluate these laser drivers conveniently, since the diode lasers are often expensive but vulnerable. ATH100K1R25 Series NTC Thermistors

ATH100K1R25 series thermistors are highly stable and reliable glass encapsulated NTC thermistors with high resistance accuracy, 1%. There are three part numbers for selection, ATH100K1R25, ATH100K1R25T70 and ATH100K1R25T70S. ATH100K1R25 is the basic version, with two bare copper coated leads. ATH100K1R25T70 and ATH100K1R25T70S are two updated version. The two leads of them are covered with high temperature plastic tubing, and the latter one is sealed by epoxy between the tubing and the thermistor head.
The NTC thermistor size is very compact. The diameter of thermistor is 1.25mm, and the thermistor length is 2.0mm. The length of the two leads is 70mm. These NTC thermistors come with a wide temperature range, from −40°C to 270°C. The nominal resistance at 25°C is 100k ± 1%. These NTC thermistors are all lead free and RoHS compliant.

ATH10KR8B Series NTC Thermistors

NTC thermistors ATH10KR8B is the replacement for a similar NTC thermistor ATH10KR8 that has stopped production. This NTC thermistor is glass encapsulated, which has longer term stability and reliability than epoxy encapsulated NTCthermistors. The resistance accuracy is 1% and the thermistors have a short response time, 0.14s in the water and 2s to2.2s in still air at 5~25°C.
This series NTC thermistors have very compact size, 0.8mm*1.4mm, which can be used in application with limited space. There are three versions in this series NTC thermistors, ATH10KR8B , ATH10KR8BT65, and ATH10KR8BT65S. The first version NTC thermistor comes with bare copper coated leads; the second one has the leads covered with high temperature plastic tubing and the third one is the sealed version of the second one. Peltier Cooler ATE1-288 Series

ATE1-288 series peltier coolers / TEC modules come with 288 pairs of Peltier elements inside. This series TEC modules have the maximum Peltier elements and the input voltage of 35V. The maximum current can be 6A, 7A, 8A, 9A, 10A, and 20A. The temperature difference between the two ceramic plates is 68°C. If a higher temperature difference is needed, then users can utilize two stage TECs or three stage TECs.
TEC modules are vulnerable to shocking tangent forces, which can crack the Peltier elements inside the TEC module. The crack caused by tangent forces will grow with time, resulting in increases of TEC resistance and finally stopping operating. Therefore, for all TEC modules, tangent forces should be avoided when using TEC modules. All ATE1-288 series TEC modules are sealed version, which have the edges between the two plates sealed. Sealed TEC modules can prevent moisture from getting into the Peltier elements, which can help achieve long service life and high stability.

Peltier Cooler ATE1-127 Series

ATE1-127 series Peltier cooler comes with 127 pairs of Peltier elements between the two flat ceramic plates. The maximum input voltage of this TEC module is 15.4V. The maximum current is selectable from 3A to 18A, resulting in different power ratings. This series TEC modules come with two different operating temperature ranges: one is from −60°C to 85°C and the other is from −60°C to 200°C. The latter has an part number with a suffix “H”, standing for high temperature, while the former doesn't have this suffix.
The TEC modules can be controlled by our TEC controller to precisely regulate the temperature of the target objects to a stable temperature range. There are sealed TEC modules and non-sealed TEC modules available. The sealed TEC modules have the edges be sealed, which blocks moisture to get into the Peltier elements. However, non-sealed TEC modules feature higher efficiency and maximum temperature difference between the two ceramic plates.

Peltier Module ATE1-07 Series

Peltier module is also called TEC module, short for thermo-electric cooler. ATE1-07 series Peltier modules come with 7 pairs of Peltier elements inside the module. There are two flat ceramic plates on the both sides, which are used to be mounted onto other surfaces by inserting thermal conductive materials, such as thermal pad or thermal conductive paste.
This Peltier module is used to regulate the temperature for objects and stabilize the temperature in a certain temperature range. TEC modules are widely applied in the fields such as solid state lasers, optical components, and CCD’s, etc. The maximum input voltage is 0.8V and 0.9V, and the maximum temperature differences can be 61.5°C and 74°C between the two plates of TEC modules. TEC modules usually have two versions, sealed and non-sealed. The former seals the outer edge between the two ceramic plates, which the latter doesn't.

Digital Fan TEC Controller ATFC106D

ATFC106D is a digital fan/TEC controller, which is designed and used for driving and monitoring TEC and fan assemblies and can show the working parameters in real time on the PC. This TEC controller is an upgraded version of ATFC105D, the latter doesn't come with real-time status showing function.
This TEC controller assembly is to regulate the temperature of an enclosed chamber. It will maintain the temperature of the chamber within a certain temperature range. Once the temperature exceeds the safety windows, the TEC controller assembly will cut off the AC power switch by sending the relay control signal. The power supply voltage is 12V, and the maximum input current is 25A. This assembly includes a TEC controller, a fan controller, temperature controlled relay control output, and a digital display. There are fans on the hot side heat sinks and cold side heat sinks for heat dissipation.

Constant Current Laser Diode Driver ATLS1A201D

201 series constant current laser diode drivers are designed and applied for driving diode lasers with a maximum current of 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A and 6A. This laser driver ATLS1A201D comes with up to 1A low noise current. There are two types of ATLS1A201D laser drivers, ATLS1A201D and ATLS1A201D-PD. The difference is that the latter has a pull-down resistor of 55K to the ground in SDN pin.
This laser driver has a compact size and is packaged in a six sided metal case, which blocks outgoing and incoming electro-magnetic interferences. This laser driver provides multiple functions, such as laser current control indication, over current and thermal protection, laser constant current control, laser current monitoring, laser diode status indication, soft start and quick shutdown. There is a high stability low noise 2.5V voltage reference output, which is used for setting the output current. This reference output can also be used for the ADCs or DACs.

Laser Diode Driver ATLS2A201D with Constant Current

In the last article about 201 series laser drivers, we mentioned that the maximum current can be 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A and 6A. Therefore, this article is about 2A laser driver, ATLS2A201D. This laser driver has a high efficiency of ≥90% and a high stability of 100ppm/°C.
This laser driver will shut down when receiving one of the three signals, external shut down, over current and over temperature signals. Any of these signals is activated, the laser driver will shut down. Only if all the three signals go up, the laser driver can be turned on by a soft start circuit. This soft start circuit is inside the laser driver, which allows a slow start up and a quick shut down.
Another feature of this laser driver is loop good indication, which is indicated by LDGD pin. When this pin is >2V, the laser driver circuit is working well. If this pin is <0.3V, it indicates that there is a short or open circuit at the laser diode.

Laser Diode Driver ATLS500MA104

Laser diode driver ATLS500MA104 is used for driving diode lasers with up to 500mA ultra low noise current. This laser driver comes with many features, such as ultra low noise, high output current, high output current stability, compact size, complete shielding, etc.
When it is powered by a 5V power supply, this laser driver can output a voltage range from 0.5V to 3.6V. The output current of this laser driver can be set by an input voltage linearly or modulated by an external signal of up to 100 KHz in bandwidth, which results in a minimum 100nS rise and fall times at the output current.
This laser driver has a compact size and there are two packages available, DIP package and SMT package. The part number of the laser drivers indicates the package, i.e. ATLS500MA104D is DIP package, with a suffix "D"; and ATLS500MA104S is SMT package, with a suffix "S".

Laser Diode Driver ATLS250MA106

Laser diode driver ATLS250MA106 is designed for driver diode lasers with ultra low noise current, up to 250mA. The main feature of this laser driver is the low noise, <100nA, at 0.1 Hz to 100 kHz RMS.
The output current absolute accuracy is very high, <0.1%, and the output current stability is also high, <100ppm/°C. When this laser driver is powered by a 5V power supply, the output voltage is 1.5V to 4V. There is a temperature compensation network inside the laser driver, which can maintain the output current unchanged even as the laser driver temperature rises. Moreover, a overheat protection circuit is also provided inside the laser driver, when the temperature exceeds 120°C, the laser driver will shut down itself automatically in order to prevent it from being damaged by over heat.
This laser driver is compact in size. There are two packages available, DIP package and SMT package. Both DIP and SMT packages laser drivers can only be soldered manually on the PCB by a solder iron of < 310ºC.

TECA1-xV-xV-D Peltier Controller

Peltier controller TECA1-xV-xV-D is a TEC controller with high efficiency and high stability. The efficiency is more than 90% and the stability is 0.01°C. This Peltier controller comes with a maximum output current of 2.5A. The maximum output voltage is 0V ~ (VPS − 0.2V). The input voltage can be 3.1V ~ 3.5V or 4.75V ~ 5.25V. This TEC controller has a wide operating temperature range, from −40°C to 85°C.
This Peltier controller has many functions, such as temperature measurement and monitoring, temperature control loop status indication, thermistor T-R curve linearization, TEC voltage monitoring, power up delay, and shutdown. The TEC controller also provides some interface ports in order for users to set the target temperature, i.e. set-point temperature; the maximum output voltage across TEC; and the compensation network.
There is also an updated version of this Peltier controller, TECA1-xV-xV-DAH, which comes with a higher precision. ForTECA1-xV-xV-DAH, the maximum voltage difference between TEMP and TEMPSP is ≤0.5; for TECA1-xV-xV-D, this voltage difference is ≤25.
This Peltier controller can work with our Peltier module, thermistor, and heat sink, to form a temperature control system.

High Precision TECA1-xV-xV-DAH Peltier Controller

Peltier controller TECA1-xV-xV-DAH is the updated version for the TEC controller  TECA1-xV-xV-D. This Peltier controller has a higher precision, as shown in the table below. The TEC controller is also called Peltier controller, which is used for driving thermoelectric coolers in regulating temperatures in temperature control and measurement system.

This Peltier controller comes with a compact size, which saves much space for the system. It also provides multiple interface ports for setting the desired target temperature, i.e. maximum output voltage across TEC, set-point temperature; and the compensation network. The last one compensates the high order thermal load, stabilizing the temperature control loop.
The maximum output current is 2.5A and the stability is up to 0.004C. There is a high stability low noise 3.0V voltage reference that is used for setting the desired target temperature by using a POT or a DAC. Moreover, this reference can also be used by an ADC.
