AC Input Laser Driver AAS30A4V2

Laser driver is designed for driving diode lasers. There are two types of laser drivers, DC laser drivers and AC laser drivers.AAS30A4V2 is one of AC laser drivers designed and newly released by ATI.
The AAS30A4V2 AC input laser driver is for driving diode lasers with up to 30A low noise current and high efficiency, ≥76%. The input voltage is wide, from 100VAC to 240VAC. The maximum output current is 30A, which can be set by an analog voltage of 0V to 2.5V, an external potentiometer, or an internal potentiometer, to between 0A and 30A.  This AC input laser driver comes with high stability low noise 2.5V reference voltage, which can be used to set the output current and maximum output voltage. This 2.5V reference can also be used as the voltage reference for external ADCs and DACs, which can be used for monitoring or setting the laser current and maximum output voltage.

Besides AC input laser drivers, ATI also provides various types of DC laser drivers with high stability and efficiency, such asATLSXA212, ATLSXA214, ATLSXA103, etc.

ATLS4A214 laser driver of ATI

ATLS4A214 laser driver is an electric module with high voltage and constant current, which is used to drive laser diodes in many fields, such as modern industry, communication, national defense and so on. This driver has a wide input voltage range from 5V to 16V, a maximum output current 4A and a wide modulation bandwidth. Figure 1 is the physical photo of the ATLS4A214 laser driver.
Figure 1. The photo of the ATLS4A214 laser driver
As shown in the photo, it is known that this driver is packaged in a compact metal enclosure, which can help block interferences from other electronics. During operation, the ATLS4A214 laser driver has high efficiency, so there is no need of heat sinks. By using the laser driver, users can regulate and monitor the laser current and temperature. In case the temperature exceeds the limit, 120°C, the driver will close the output stage and enter into Standby Mode.

ATLS3A212 Laser Driver with 3A Constant Current

ATLS3A212 laser driver is an electric module with 3A constant current, which is designed and released by our company (ATI). This laser driver has full swing output voltage, from 0.8V to VPS. It has been used to drive one or multiple laser diodes with high efficiency and low noise. Figure 1 is the photo of the ATLS3A212laser driver.
Figure 1. The photo of the ATLS3A212laser driver
The ATLS3A212laser driver comes with three control states: shutdown, standby and operation. Under different control states, components inside has different operating states. This driver can regulate and monitor output current at the same time. As the driver is packaged in a metal enclosure, the inferences from surrounding electronics are blocked. There are two packages available, DIP and SMT Packages.

High Voltage Constant Current Laser Drivers

Recently ATI has successfully developed and produced a series of high voltage constant current laser drives, ATLSXA212.
The maximum output current can be up to 4A, 6A and 8A. The power supply voltage range of this series laser drives is from 5V to 14V. What’s more, ATI laser drivers are characterized with high efficiency of over 90%. There are three control states for 214 series high voltage laser controllers, including shutdown, standby and operation. In terms of packages, both DIP and SMT packages are available to choose. To offer customers more conveniences while using, all laser controllers are with compact sizes. Please refer to the following physical photos of 214 series laser drivers.

Laser drivers can be used to drive laser diodes with low noise and high efficiency.

What's the ATLS1A212D Laser Driver Used for

Since the laser was found in 1960, it has been becoming more and more popular in modern industry, communication, national defense and other fields. And in order to meet the need for driving laser diodes, our company (ATI) has designed and released a series of laser drivers, such as ATLSXA212, ATLSXA201D and so on. As shown in Figure 1, ATLS1A212D laser driver is a typical one of the ATLSXA212 series laser drivers. It has a maximum output current of 1A and also has a wide range of power supply voltage from 4.5V to16V.

Figure 1. The photo of the ATLS1A212D laser driver
By using the ATLS1A212D laser driver, users can regulate and monitor the laser current and temperature. And if the temperature exceeds the limit, 120°C, the laser driver will close the output stage automatically and enter into Standby Mode. During normal operation, there is no need of heat sinks because it generates little amount of heat. Moreover, the driver generates low noise, but with high accuracy high stability.

How to Drive Laser Diodes with Laser Drivers

In order to drive laser diodes, our company (ATI) has designed and produced laser drivers with high voltage and constant current. The laser drivers feature high efficiency, high stability, low noise and compact size. And because of high efficiency, they don’t need heat sinks during normal operation. Figure 1 is the ATLS1A212D laser driver, which is a typical one of our laser drivers.
Figure 1. The photo of the ATLS1A212D laser driver
This driver has a maximum output current 1A and a wide input voltage range from 1.5 to 16V. And it can generate a high accuracy high stability low noise voltage reference to set the output current. The reference can also be used as the ADCs and/or DACs reference voltage. In addition, the laser driver comes with dedicated ports to monitor the actual laser current and temperature.
And besides the ATLS1A212D laser driver, there are many other laser driver with high quality and different parameters, so users can select what you need.

Why Using Laser Driver to Drive Laser Diodes?

A laser driver is an electric module to drive one or multiple laser diodes with low noise and high efficiency for applications such as DPSSL, EDFA, and fiber lasers. The laser driver designed and produced by our company (ATI) has high quality and long service lifetime. And in our company, there are various types of laser drivers, such as ATLSXA212 series, ATLS_XXX_103 series, ATLSXA201D series and so on. The following photo is a typical one of ATLSXA212 series laser drivers.
Figure 1. The photo of the ATLS1A212D laser driver
The ATLS1A212D laser driver has full swing output voltage: 0.8V to VPS and maximum output current 1A. During operation, the driver can achieve many functions, setting the output current, regulating and monitoring the current and temperature, etc. As it generates little amount of heat, there is no need of heat sink for normal operation. In addition, the laser driver uses a constant frequency high efficiency PWM output stage to avoid frequency beating interference.
