Surface Mount Resistor Kits

SMT resistors are widely used in electronic fields nowadays, and how to store and sort them up is not easy for most of electronic engineers. ATI provides a simple solution with the invention of SMT resistor kits. SMT resistor kits contains a certain number of resistors that are well sorted and arranged in the compartments inside the kits. The kits can be carried with the users conveniently since it has a size of an A4 paper.
As shown in the photo below, the resistor kit has 128 individual compartments, which are used to contain SMT resistors of various sizes, 1206, 0805, 0603, and 0402, and different values and quantities. There are two options for values, 128 values and 520 values, the latter has four kits in one set. The value of the resistors are printed in the lid of each compartment, so users can easily find the right one. There is a foam inside the top cover of the kits, which is used to tighten the lids of the compartments in order to guarantee no resistors will be leaked out during transportation.

ATFC106D Digital TEC Controller with Fan

ATFC106D digital TEC controller assembly is the updated version of the old ATFC105D, which has stopped production now. As shown in the photo below, there is a LED display and a panel for operation. In this panel, you can set different parameters and monitor different status by the LED indication.
This controller assembly consists of a digital display, a TEC controller, a fan controller, and temperature controlled relay control output. It's recommended to use this TEC controller assembly with heat sinks and fans in an enclosed chamber that needs temperature control. This assembly has a high efficiency, over 98%. The output power is also high, 12V and 20A. There is a internal protection circuit which prevents the assembly from over current. There are two control loops in the controller, one is TEC, and the other is fan. The TEC control loop has a bi-directional output in order to achieve both heating and cooling effects, and the fan control loop switches the fan on and off.
This TEC controller assembly can work with our fan and heat sink to regulate an enclosed chamber temperature by driving a TEC array and a fan array.

TEC5V4A-D Peltier Controller TEC Controller

TEC module is also called thermoelectric cooler or Peltier cooler, which can generate heating or cooling thermal power when an electric DC current is applied at different directions. Current direction determines heating and cooling. There are two ceramic plates on both sides of TEC module, and when the current flows in one direction, one plate is heated up while the other one is cooled down. When the current direction reverses, the two plates will reverse thermal polarity accordingly. TEC modules can be used to keep diode laser working at a constant temperature. TEC controller TEC5V4A-D is designed and used to drive TEC modules.
This TEC controller has the following features: high efficiency is more than 90%; there is an actual object temperature monitoring function; the stability is high, 0.01°C. The maximum output current is 4A, and the maximum output voltage is VPS − 0.2V. The TEC controller is packaged in a metal case to block EMI.
This Peltier controller can work efficiently and stably with our Peltier modulethermistor, and heat sink, to form a temperature control system.

TEC5V6A-D Peltier Controller TEC Controller

TEC controller TEC5V6A-D is designed to drive thermoelectric cooler, which is also called TEC module or Peltier cooler. TEC module can heat up or cool down target objects by applying currents of different direction, and has been widely used in temperature related applications.
As the controller to TEC modules, TEC controller should has high efficiency and high stability. TEC5V6A-D is a good option. The maximum output current of this TEC controller is 6A, and the maximum output voltage is power supply voltage minus 0.3V. This TEC controller comes with a low noise high stability voltage reference of 3.0V, that can be used to set the designed temperature by using a POT or DAC. This controller has a metal case outside the internal components and has a compact size, 25.4*19.9*4.5mm. There are two packaging version, DIP through hole package and SMT surface mount package for different applications.

TECA1-xV-xV-DAH Peltier Controller TEC Controller

TECA1-xV-xV-DAH.html' target='_blank'>TECA1-xV-xV-DAH TEC controller is designed and applied for driving Peltier coolers with high stability. This TEC controller is the updated version of TECA1-xV-xV-D, since it has a higher precision.
The most important feature of this TEC controller is that the maximum voltage difference between the TEMP pin and TEMPSP pin is ≤0.5, while for TECA1-xV-xV-D, this maximum voltage difference is ≤25, 500 times higher than the former one. Besides this, other features of this TEC controller are similar to TECA1-xV-xV-D. This controller has a high efficiency, ≥90%. The maximum output current is 2.5A and the input voltage can be from 3.1V to 3.5V, or 4.75V to 5.25V, specifically, 3.3V or 5V. The TEC controller has a wide operating temperature range, from -40°C to 85°C. Regarding compensation network, there are two version, one has an internal compensation network and the other one doesn't have it.

ATTP1A Temperature Plate Assembly

TEC controller can also be called Peltier controller, since it is used to driving Peltier modules, which is also called TEC modules. TECA1-xV-xV-D has high efficiency, more than 90%, and high stability, 0.01°C. This TEC controller has a compact size, which saves valuable spaces for systems.
This TEC controller comes with multiple interface ports for users to set the desired object temperature, the maximum output voltage across TEC, and the compensation network. The compensation network is used to stabilize temperature control loop by compensating high order thermal load. The maximum output voltage is from 0V to VPS − 0.2V, in which VPS is the input voltage. The input voltage can be from 3.1V to 3.5V or from 4.75V to 5.25V.
Moreover, we have developed an updated version of this Peltier controller, TECA1-xV-xV-DAH, which has a higher precision than TECA1-xV-xV-D. In detail, for TECA1-xV-xV-DAH, the maximum voltage difference between TEMP and TEMPSP is less than 0.5, while TECA1-xV-xV-D is ≤25 for this parameter.
This Peltier controller can work with our Peltier module, thermistor, and heat sink, to form a temperature control system.

ATTP1A Temperature Plate Assembly

ATTP1A is a temperature plate assembly, which can be also called cold plate. This assembly includes a TEC module, a TEC controller, an evaluation board of TEC controller, a fan, a heat sink and a thermistor. This temperature plate assembly is designed and used to evaluate TEC controller, TEC module or heat sinks. It can also be used to stabilize the temperature of the target objects for scientific experiments.
As shown in the photo below, on the left side of the cold plate, there is a TEC controller on the evaluation board, and on the right side of the cold plate, it connects a TEC modules, a thermistor, a fan and a heat sink.
The temperature plate assembly is intended to automatically adjust the temperature parameters based on the required temperature range, by which the TEC controller can detect the pre-set temperature range. This assembly provides a platform with a wide temperature regulation range, from −20°C to 110°C. The thermal load capability is high, 15.75W. This assembly comes with precise temperature stability, 1.8mV.

Low Noise Laser Diode Driver ATLS500MA104

ATLS500MA104 is a low noise laser diode driver that is designed for driving laser diodes with low noise current of 500mA. The noise is low, 3.96μVP-P at the frequency of 0.1Hz to 10Hz.
The output current of this laser driver can be modulated by an external signal of up to 100 KHz, or set by an input voltage linearly, which results in a minimum 100nS rise and fall times at the output current. When LIS equals to 1V DC plus 200mV AC, the output current is modulated between 200mA to 210mA. The output current and the output current settings can be set separately. The internal temperature of this laser driver can be monitored, once the temperature exceeds 120°C, the laser driver will shut down by itself for avoiding being damaged by over heat. The power supply voltage ranges from 4.75V to 5.75V. There is also a compensation network which keeps the output current to be the same even when the temperature rises.

Low Noise Laser Diode Driver ATLS250MA106

ATLS250MA106 is a constant current laser diode driver with 250mA low noise current. The noise is very low, 2μVP-P at the frequency of 0.1Hz to 10Hz. There is no need for heat sinks.
When the power supply is 5V, the output voltage is from 1.5V to 4V. This laser driver comes with an internal temperature compensation network so as to maintain the output current to be the same even as the laser driver temperature rises. The laser driver will shut down by itself when the temperature exceeds 120°C, which can prevent the laser driver from being damaged by over heat.
There are two packages for the laser driver, DIP package and SMT package. The SMT package laser driver can only be soldered and it's not convenient to remove it. The DIP package can be removed easily, but the stability of the system is not as good as the SMT package. ATLS250MA106D is for DIP package and ATLS250MA106S is for SMT package. Both DIP and SMT laser drivers are packaged in a 6-sided metal enclosure for avoiding EMIs.

High Voltage 4A Laser Diode Driver

Laser diode driver 214 series includes ATLS8A214, ATLS6A214 and ATLS4A214. The maximum output current is 8A, 6A, and 4A respectively. ATLS4A214D has a compact size and a six sided metal enclosure that is used to prevent EMI from other electronics.
This laser driver comes with a high efficiency, 90%, and no heat sinks are needed during operation since only a small amount of heat is generated by this heat sink. There are dual independent current set ports that are digitally controlled to switch between them for the output current setting. That is to say, there can be 2 preset current values for digitally modulating the laser. The output current noise of this laser driver is low, < 12µAP-P at the frequency of 0.1Hz~10Hz. There is a protection circuit inside the laser driver. When the temperature exceeds 20°C, the laser driver will shut down the output stage automatically. A loop good indication output will tell if the laser driver works well.

High Voltage 6A Laser Diode Driver

High voltage 6A laser diode driver refers to ATLS6A214, which is designed and used for driving one or more laser diodes at the same time with high efficiency and low noise.
This laser diode driver comes with multiple features that are difficult to achieve simultaneously in other laser drivers, such as high output current, wide input and output voltage range, high efficiency, wide modulation bandwidth, and small size. This laser driver has low output noise, but there is an output ripple voltage of 4mVp-p at the frequency of 500kHz. The input voltage ranges from 5V to 16V. The full swing output voltage is from 0V to VPS (input voltage). As shown in the part number, ATLS6A214, the maximum output current is 6A. The efficiency is higher than 90%, so it's unnecessary to use heat sinks. There are DIP package and SMT package both available. This laser driver is fully shielded in a six sided metal case.

ATE1-TC-199 Series Thermoelectric Modules

ATE1-TC-199 series thermoelectric modules are low cost high performance TEC modules that are used for thermal cycling applications. This series TEC modules have two versions, ATE1-TC-199-13A and ATE1-TC-199-13AS. The former is non-sealed version and the latter is the sealed one. The non-sealed TEC module can achieve higher efficiency and higher maximum temperature difference between the two ceramic plates. The sealed TEC module can be used in moisture applications. The sealing material is silica gel.
The maximum input voltage of the TEC modules is 27.4V, and the maximum current allowed going through the TEC module is 13A. The maximum temperature difference is 72 Celsius Degree.
The thermal cycling TEC modules are superior to standard TEC modules since they have longer service life when suffering frequent heat changes, such as heating to cooling or cooling to heating.

ATE1-TC-127 Series Thermoelectric Modules

ATE1-TC-127 series thermoelectric modules are thermal cycling TEC modules, which are designed for thermal cycling application. These thermal cycling TEC modules are better than standard TEC modules that cannot stand heat and cool impact. When standard TEC modules suffer frequent heat changes, the operational life of them will be largely reduced. However, it will not influence thermal cycling TEC modules much.
In this series, there are six TEC modules with different voltages and currents, thus different power ratings. The current can be 5.5A, 5.7A, 7.8A, 8.5A, and 12.1A, and the voltage can be 16.2V and 17.5V. The temperature difference that the TEC modules can attain is 72°C, 72.5°C and even 74.5°C. There are sealed version and non-sealed version. The former can be used in moisture environments and the latter can achieve higher efficiency and maximum temperature difference.

ATE1-TC-70-15AS Thermoelectric Module

ATE1-TC-70-15AS is a thermal cycling thermoelectric module, which are designed for thermal cycling applications. StandardTEC modules will suffer operation life decrease when the TECs shift from heating to cooling or cooling to heating. Thermal cycling TEC modules, such as ATE1-TC-70-15AS, can bear the heat changes and the operational life will not be reduced.
As shown in the part number, there are 70 pairs of Peltier elements inside the two ceramic plates of this TEC module; the maximum current allowed for entering the TEC module is 15A; "S" indicates that this TEC module is sealed version, which can prevent moisture from getting into the Peltier elements inside the TECs. The maximum power supply voltage is 9.6V. The maximum temperature difference between the cold side and hot side is 72°C.

High Voltage 8A Laser Diode Driver

Laser diode driver is used to drive diode lasers. High voltage laser diode driver is designed for driving high voltage diode lasers. This laser driver, ATLS8A214D, comes with a high and wide power supply voltage range, 5V to 14V, and a wide output voltage range, 0V to 15V.
This laser diode driver has many features, such as wide input and output voltage range, high output current capability, high efficiency, low output noise, wide modulation bandwidth, and compact size. There are three states in this laser driver, working, standby and shutdown. In standby, the output stage stops working, while all other components are working. In shutdown, all the components stop working and the input current is decreased to less than 3uA. The maximum output current is 8A with low output current noise, < 12μAP-P at the frequency of 0.1Hz~10Hz. There are both DIP and SMT packages available. Constant Current Laser Diode Driver CWD-01-V2-D

CWD-01-V2-D is one of constant current laser diode drivers in ATI. This laser driver is designed for driving diode lasers with high efficiency and constant output current of maximum 2A.
This laser diode driver not only comes with high efficiency, but also low noise, zero EMI, and high stability. This laser driver provides the following functions: laser constant current control, laser current monitoring, over current and thermal protection, laser current control indication, laser diode status indication, soft start, and shut down. This laser driver is compact in size and packaged in a six sided metal enclosure which ensures zero EMI. Like many other laser drivers in ATI, this laser driver can only be soldered manually by a solder iron of < 310°C and cannot go through reflow oven processes. The physical photo of laser driver CWD-01-V2-D is shown as below, this is a DIP package laser driver.

Dual Mode Laser Diode Driver LDA1-CP2

LDA1-CP2 is similar with LDA1-CP1, the former is designed for driving N type diode lasers and the latter is for driving P type diode lasers. We are focusing on the first LDA1-CP2 laser driver.
This laser diode driver comes with constant current and constant power. The pulse width modulation output stage can achieve more than 90% high power efficiency, so there is no need for any heat sinks. Two independent input voltages can be used to set the output current and the laser power linearly, and two output voltages can be used to monitor the output current and the laser power simultaneously. The maximum output current is 2A. The physical photo of the laser diode driver LDA1-CP2 is in below, from which it can be found that the laser driver is packaged in a 6 sided metal enclosure, which is used to prevent electromagnetic interference. The laser driver has a small size with DIP package.

Dual Mode Laser Diode Driver LDA1-CP1

LDA1-CP1-D is a dual mode laser diode driver that is designed for driving P type diode lasers. This laser driver comes with well controlled and monitored driving current and output laser power. Two versions of laser drivers are available, LDA1-CP1-D-SNI and the LDA1-CP1-D-SNO, the former refers that external signal synchronizes the signal of the chip, while the latter is that external signal synchronizes the signal of the chip.
This laser driver has multiple features, such as high efficiency ≥90% with no heat sink needed, constant current and constant power. The output current and laser power can be linearly set by two separate input voltages and linearly monitored simultaneously by two output voltages respectively. This laser diode driver is compact, with DIP package.

Noise Measurement Amplifier ATNMA2

This noise measurement amplifier, ATNMA2, is designed for testing ultra low noises such as nanovolt or microvolt noises that cannot be detected by oscilloscopes. When it detects the noise signals, the noise measurement amplifier amplifies the noise to magnifications, 3,000×, 10,000×, 30,000×, 100,000×, 300,000×, 1,000,000×, 3,000,000×, according to different requirements. There are three noise measurement bandwidths: 0.1Hz ~ 10Hz, 0.1Hz ~ 1kHz, 0.1Hz ~ 100kHz.
The amplifier comes with a built-in rechargeable battery with 500mAH electricity, which can be used continuously for more than 20 hours. The maximum voltage of teh rechargeable voltage is 4.2V. There comes with an LED for indicating low battery. The noise measurement amplifier includes one rechargeable battery, one coaxial cable, and some probes. The input probes come with adjustable span. This noise measurement amplifier is 100 % lead (Pb)-free and RoHS compliant.
This noise measurement amplifier can work with most electronic modules, such as laser driver and TEC controller, etc. to detect and amplify ultra low noise during operation.

Adjustable ATRDB12 Resistor Decade Box

For many electronic applications, varying a resistance is necessary when tuning analog electronic circuits. This product, ATRDB12, is an adjustable resistor decade box with knobs for dialing. This resistor decade box comes with a wide adjustable range, from 0.36Ω to 10MΩ, with a total of eight decades.
This decade box has many other features. The resolution is very high 0.1Ω, and the accuracy is also high ±1%. Residual resistance is 0.36±0.01Ω. The maximum power is 0.2W. The operating temperature ranges from −40°C to +55°C. All resistance values are marked clearly surrounding the knobs, so it's comfortable and easy to use and read the resistance value. The switches are compact in size and have long life time rotation. The enclosure is durable metal. This adjustable resistor decade box is 100 % lead free and RoHS compliant.
